Nick Watney played his way into the 2008 Mercedes-Benz Championship but more importantly into the 2008 Masters with his 3 shot victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The 25 year old became the 4th player in his 20's to win on the PGA tour in 2007. Watney looked like someone not used to the top spot on Sunday as he bogeyed the 3rd and 4th holes before changes his day with an eagle 2 on the 5th hole. He never let go of the lead after that. Watney never finishing better than 5th in his PGA career until today. I want to congratulate Eric Jones for winning this weeks contest. He picked up the Accuflex Icon F/H shaft with his selection of Bubba Watson and Sean O'hair. Watson finished T-5th and picked up $222,650 while Sean O'hair made $103,700 with a T-15th finish. My picks of Toms and Calcavecchia finished a respectable T-44th and T-5th respectively. Thanks for everyone that participated and keep checking back for more PGA Tour contests.
